Autumn leaves in Sumata valley (Shizuoka)
Ohi river with its source at South Japan Alps is also famous for Ohi-river railroad with old steam locomotives still running. A valley of Ohi-river is Sumata valley. It has a suspended wooden bridge with 90m long and 8m high. The color of Ohi-river here is emerald green or marine blue at this deep valley. When the leaves change colors to red, yellow, and orange, the contrast to the river create unbelievable beauty.
