Tip-11 Display light box
When you need to display your works at contests or one-man/group shows and there is no natural source of light, you have to use artificial lighting. The cheap and easy way is to use florescent tubes. If you can hide the tubes (not directly placed behind the stained glass), it is OK. However, it may not be possible due to many reasons such as limited space of box, etc. I use tracing paper (which you use in designing or drafting). Stick a piece of tracing paper behind your stained glass panel to hide these fluorescent tubes. It works in both cases of using transparent glass and semi-opalescent glass. Then, there is a question of color temperature of fluorescent tubes. I would like to discuss this matter on the next tip page (Tip-12).
